Gratitude

gratitude

As Thanksgiving approaches this week, I want to take a minute and reflect on a passage from one of my favorite books. Amid trying to find success, and battling our materialistic stuff-driven society, we sometimes lose sight of what is most important.

“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content”. – 1 Timothy 6:6-8

The condition of our heart should be one of gratitude and thankfulness and as we continue to pursue our goals we should always be grateful for what we have because we will leave this world with as much as we entered.

As we sit down and have a big turkey dinner with our families and friends, let’s take a moment to be thankful for what we have. To help get our hearts in the right place, below are some more great quotes that will help us put things into perspective.
